Kristin Fisher joined CNN in 2021. She will be the Space and Defense Correspondent. In her position as the Space and Defence Correspondent at CNN, she is responsible for covering all aspects of space, from NASA and its recently created Space Force up until commercial space firms, as well as the advent and growth of space tourism. Kristin, mother of NASA astronauts, and also a space enthusiast, grew up immersed in the field. She worked for five years as the White House correspondent for FOX News covering space policy during the Biden and Trump Administrations. In that period, Kristin also reported on impeachment hearings for President Trump as well as the presidential campaign for 2020 and the efforts of two administrations in order to control the Coronavirus Pandemic. Former president Donald Trump traveled to Afghanistan on a highly-restricted trip. Kristin worked her way through the local news markets of Grand Junction, Colorado, Little Rock, Arkansas, and Washington, D.C. for nearly a decade before joining the network. She was awarded one Emmy Award in Washington, D.C. as the CBS affiliate's one-man band reporter. Kristin's skills as a camerawoman has led her to create Field Mouse Films which specialized in making documentaries for corporate clients such as Uber Hotels & Resorts and Starwood Hotels & Resorts. Kristin earned a bachelors of Science of Journalism at Boston University. Kristin is married with a daughter, and her three-year-old in Washington, D.C.
